Diskuter Häxan

This very unusual Silent film, throughout nearly all of its existence viewed as and considered primarily a horror movie, was created intended as a history documentary (with a number of effective dramatic enactments included) about how superstition, paranoia, public accusation, hysteria, mental illness, the unknown, etc. was viewed, and how it was damnably negatively responded to, throughout the centuries, especially during the Middle Ages.

It's definitely genuinely disturbing.

Here's the film's trailer.

Nope.

Watched the trailer you provided, genplant29 (thank you), and based on that, I'm not going near this. It definitely looks technically competent-- in fact I'd say it would still hold up against the special effects of many films-- both horror and non-horror --even today, but I generally stay away from supernatural horror, and this piece of work appears as if it would scare the crap out of me.

I can usually stomach non-supernatural horror-- such as the recently-released "X", and horror that is only tangentially supernatural, such as the "Friday the 13th" films, as well as, weirdly, vampiric films (love 1922's "Nosferatu", for example ) but for me, most other "ghosts and demons" movies are just too much. Everybody has a line when it comes to film, and for me, that's the line. Just not my cup of tea.

But thanks again for providing the link, genplant29. Now I know not to watch. :)

I watched this a fair time ago and none of the imaginary has given me sleepless nights. Well worth watching, I gave it 7/10.
