Discuss Count Dracula

In it's faithfulness to the book. I was actually quite taken by just how well it followed the book compared to the most popular film adaptations. I would say this is the most faithful one I have seen and Coppola's would be second. Coppola kinda ruins it for me by adding that love story aspect to it but it definitely wins in the creep factor. This one though, had a certain charm to it. I also liked how they showed stuff that none of the other versions show such as what was happening to Lucy from her perspective. One thing I did not like in this film was the use of what looks like the negative exposure of a film to express what I can only imagine was some sort of artsy flair which came off as totally cheesy. But as far as being faithful to the book such as showing Dracula out in the daytime, which most renditions do not , I found to be quite satisfying. Definitely a must see for all Bram Stoker's Dracula fans.

I'll have to check that one out. I've been on a Dracula kick lately. It also seems like it was Nosferatu (1922) that started the vampires die in the sunlight trope which also was not in the book.
