I loved this film, absolutely loved it. I anticipated that I might find a historical scandal irrelevant or boring, but from the opening few scenes I was completely engaged. The script is sharp and very quick witted and the cast are, without exception, fantastic. How has it been scored so low? What's going on? The questions it raises about presidential candidacy and the role of the press have never been more timely (and not just in America). Plus, I think this might be Jackman's finest performance and it's worth watching just for that.

Too much wordy speak. Not enough boom boom.
But yeah, I was also baffled seeing this rated at 59%. It was a film that said things that needed to be said in this day and age and it was very watchable.
I guess most of today's viewers were just wondering where all the CGI was.
