Discuss Charlie's Angels

Item: Charlie's Angels

Language: en-US

Type of Problem: Incorrect_content

Extra Details: Why isn't this considered part of the Charlie's Angels Collection?

No problem for me as I can just manually add it to my Collection, but just curious why it is not listed here as part of the collection?

I noticed somebody else asked but there was no response and the issue was closed.

It's a reboot rather than a direct sequel.

If you saw it you would know that Cameron Diaz, Drew Barrymore, and Lucy Liu all were acknowledged as being angels which means there is continuity. Technically that makes it a sequel.

It means they are part of the same universe.

Reboot means a new universe. If the universe is the same, it can't be a reboot. It doesn't necessarily make it a sequel, but it's not a reboot.

But to be fair, this does seem like a reboot in every other way.

It is a reboot by Hollywood's loose use of the term. It's the failed start of a new film series with new main characters intended for a (mostly) new audience.

Ok thanks. I guessed there was a story behind the reason, so I didn't want to just add it to the collection without checking first.

But having said that (and not wanting to cause an argument) Men In Black International is included in the Men In Black Collection and I think this movie is much closer to the original franchise than MIB International is.

But I am not fussed either way as I have already added it to my collection in Kodi.

Yes, thanks for asking! And good point about MIB International, I removed it from the collection. Hopefully we'll have lock on collections soon and that'll allow us manage them better.
