Discuss Charlie's Angels

Is why did Elibeth Banks have to force herself into almost every scene in the movie? I know she is the director and apparently did the screenplay too, but looks like he went full Kenneth Branagh mode on this movie. Let me illustrate the point with an old joke: why are Kenneth Branagh and Elizabeth Banks not popular at picnics? They always take biggest rolls for themselves. On a more serious note it is quite jarring how she is so prominent in the movie and at times it almost feels like it's "Female Bosley feat. the angels" movie and the actual charlie's angels, and let alone Charlie, have a minor role in the movie.

Also another point I have to make is that it is quite jarring how their hairstyles keep changing from one scene to another. Like there are parts where the angels have to hurry to stage a rescue operation or are in a hurry to rescue the Rubik's cube plot device, but apparently that doesn't stop them from stopping at a hair salon along the way. The worst part is in the end where the new angel is locked in a room and for some reason they want her to change her dress. Well, apparently there was a hairdresser and hair salon in that room also because her hairstyle completely changes again in the next scene even though she is still in the same room. Seems legit.

The thing I don't understand is if this film was supposed to strike a blow for feminism and represent strong, capable women...

why was it absolute balls from beginning to end?
