Maïté est mariée à Vincent qui vient d'être condamné à sept ans de prison. Le parloir est désormais leur seul espace d'intimité. Deux fois par semaine, elle récupère son linge sale, le lave, le repasse puis le lui rapporte. Un rituel qu'elle exécute avec assiduité et précision.

Un jour, un jeune inconnu aborde Maïté à sa sortie de la Maison d'Arrêt. Il s'appelle Jean. Il lui tourne autour, lui propose de la ramener en voiture. Elle hésite puis se laisse faire.

Elle offre son corps à cet inconnu. Il devient son amant. Ces moments de plaisir ont un décor : un champ, une voiture. Ce ne seront que des moments volés. L'amant ne franchira pas la porte de chez elle.
