I didn't expect this movie to be so powerful. Nina's constant obsession for perfection is completly destroying her and the pressure of playing such a contradictory role plus the sexual harassment really doesn't help her. But she did it and she felt it, "It was perfect".
I would want to hear your opinions, I loved it so much and I want to know what you think about it.

Natalie's performance is what makes this otherwise boring film a great film.

I love this film. I enjoy the dark tone and how she descends into madness throughout the course of the movie. I always like these films when the main character is not sure of what reality is anymore. I loved Birdman and The Wrestler as well, where the protagonist dies doing the only thing they loved or obsessed over.
Yeah, I agree with you on it being perfect. Natalie went up a lot for me with this performance.

I really like the film quite a bit, even though it left the nature of reality kind of vague at the end, as one poster stated. Aronofsky's work is so edgy, most of the time. I really dig it. I haven't seen mother! yet, but I'd almost be willing to bet half the money I ever make that it's simply misunderstood by the hoi polloi.

I don't think it's perfect. But it is great. I love Aronofsky. One of my fave directors. The only film of his I didn't like was Noah. I look forward to mother!
