Think Dan Aykroyd/Ray is going to be the only original cast member to return?

Maybe Ernie Hudson as well but Bill Murray is impossible to cast since he never wanted to do a third movie and Harold Ramis is no longer around.

BILL MURRAY HAS SAID FOR YEARS THE SCRIPT WOULD HAVE TO BE AMAZING...WITH THE WAY THEYRE ASSEMBLING THIS FILM..I THINK THE SCRIPT IS AWESOME AND I THINK MURRAY IS IN.I WOULD BE REALLY SHOCKED IF HE ISNT INVOLVED.HAROLD RAMIS WILL FOR SURE BE IN THE FILM;IN SPIRIT AND IN SOME NICE MOMENTS OF REMEMBRANCE.

A shame we'll never get the original four back. But I hope the remaining 80s GBs come back (including Murray, even if its a cameo).

Now that's a guy that SERIOUSLY walked away from Hollywood..seemingly FOREVER (sadly)! He was the lone voice who didn't come back to do voicework for the Ghostbusters game (and he was asked).

I can imagine Ray being an occult professor with the new Ghostbusters being his students like with Egon in Extreme Ghostbusters. Venkman would be on World Of The Psychics and living happily with Dana.

AYKROYD BEING THE LAST ACTIVE GHOSTBUSTER IS BATTLING A NEW THREAT,ALONG WITH HIS GRANDCHILDREN.SHIT GETS INTENSE AND THE OLD GUARD HAVE TO STEP BACK UP.IN MY HEAD I CONTINUE TO SEE A HAGGARD VENKMAN IN FULL UNIFORM MARCH OUT OF A DARKENED SPACE READY TO KICK GHOST ASS WITH SLIMER AT HIS SIDE.

Yet he'll make movies like "The Dead Don't Die"...
He did a cameo in GB2016, I don't see why he wouldn't come back for GB3! Its not like he's box office Gold at the moment!

READ THE WHOLE THREAD MICK.AS I AND MANY HAVE STATED REPEATEDLY.MURRAY HAS SAID THE SCRIPT WOULD HAVE TO BE PERFECT.....I BELIEVE HE YOUNG REITMAN HAS SAID PERFECT SCRIPT AND ALL THE O.G.S IN POCKET.

His cameo in GB2016 was a different story. He turned down every GB3 script over the years.

He has a history of being picky about project he chooses and has turned down every GB3 script over the years, if the 2020 script is perfect but Murray doesn't like it they should not adjust it just to please him or not make the film just because he won't do it.
