Honestly, I think Tom Hardy would be great as Jafar. However, I know if he were to get cast there would be controversy surrounding the fact that he is white and the character Jafar is based on is not. Still though performance wise I think you have to go with Hardy.

Honestly I tried to see it and couldn't. I love Tom and it took me from the time I read the title until the time this page loaded for me to see Tom in my mind wearing the cape and what not. As they didn't cast Aladdin as the Indian looking dude from Lost, black long curly hair guy, I personally think he would be perfect for it. I can see him being a real unexpected bad ass mofo.
