Serkis has clearly been influenced so much by his long term collaborator Peter Jackson that he practically clones the man's cinematic style (and formula) for this Jungle Book adaptation. From the opening narration by Cate Blanchett (who speaks almost exactly like Galadriel, even down to her pronunciation and tone), to the sweeping landscape shots, to the overhead views of the eagles and one scene which pretty much replicates the orcs storming the fellowship in the mines of Moria. There are parallels left, right and centre. It's still a powerful picture, but I wonder what Serkis demonstrates here that he can call his own vision?

agree with the narration part...felt like Lord of the Rings!
