...go from living in that mansion to that total dump, which seemed way too small for a grown man and three dogs? I understand he couldn't go on living in the same place as his ex, but was that really the best place he could afford?

He definitely seemed to let others take advantage of him...or he had sold them a bill of goods and they were no longer buying any more. Regardless, it was sad, and you could see through most of his posturing to the opposite.
