Discuss The Social Network

What started out as a great idea for social networking has now become a landscape for political discourse. I havent been on my facebook page in ages. I go on every few months or so to keep contact with my sister in Australia. but man, it has become a hate filled web page of politics. I wish it never existed or that it would become filtered to remove all political discussions

I know what you mean. I hardly go on mine anymore, and when I do I just get annoyed by a lot of the political tirades.

I stopped using it back in 2014. Don't miss it one bit. Social media in general just plain sucks. This message board is ok, though. :)

I hardly ever use it, it's just "meh."

Why shouldn't people discuss politics on FB? You're supposed to be able to express yourself

I haven't used Facebook since 2008. I have an account because apparently you're a weirdo if you don't, but I log in once a year, then log out.

Don't have and have NEVER HAD as FB account ... and NEVER WILL have one.

With all the talk about the guy who runs the place running for OFFICE, that also explains the reason why FB has become so POLITICAL.

Apparently he also has the same kind of AMBITIONS to RULE the world as the other BULLY does who now sits in the OVAL OFFICE, and he'd most likely also USE FB as a way to try to WIN whatever ELECTION he'll run for.

The use of SOCIAL MEDIA (which should also be RENAMED ANTI SOCIAL MEDIA) got OBAMA elected.

And it also seems to have gotten the current SCAM MAN into office.

So you can also see the reason why MR. FB thinks he can also use FB as a way to LAUNCH himself into some kind of an OFFICE.

APPLAUSE! (hands clapping)
