Discuss The Edge of Seventeen

... to make me feel better, since I finally had the chance to see a teenager who is even more annoying and unlikable than my own. Alas, it was too weak to make me believe she was real. Even though i so wanted to.

I tried to watch for Woody Harrelson scenes, but even he wasn't enough. I stopped when she stole her moms car.

I didn't finish the film, I stopped when they were at the party and she as alone, her best friend was with her brother.

When she was talking to her teacher, it did remind me of one of my favourite films about a teenager. Check out New Waterford Girl really like this movie & great student-teacher scenes.

I liked it! My girlfriend really wanted to watch this film. I wasn't thrilled about watching it. But by the end I thought it was good! Woody Harrelson's character was great, and hilarious. There were a lot of funny moments in the movie. Bit of a chick flick, but it wasn't bad.

I was an OK film. The ending seemed a bit rushed though.

Exactly this.

I wanted to like this film, as the casting seemed great. I just didn't think it lived up to the semi-hype I was hearing online.

I thought it was an OK film. The main character was incredibly annoying, but she was also still reeling from her father's death and the familial dynamics that had changed since then. I thought the plot revolving around her friend dating her brother made the entire movie seem more petty than it could've been.

Agreed. Who hates their sibling so much, they wouldn't just be happy for their newfound romance?

it seems many of you stopped watching just as the film got interesting...
