He plays a neurologist in this and yet not one single intelligent thing befitting someone of his character's education and profession comes out of his mouth. I assume the director realized nothing intelligent was believable as dialog for him and just let him sort of populate scenes with better actors. HOW did this numnuts even get cast in this, AND as Jesse Plemons brother?!?!?! (they look NOTHING alike)

He's the reason I'm not watching this... The rest of the cast is solid and it seems like one of the more interesting concepts for a TV series...

I just can't take this guy seriously... He's a poor actor and doesn't come off as intelligent, or mature at all. And he's had the chance in movie after movie... They even cast him as David Forster Wallace, one of the smartest writers of his generation! What were they thinking?!

He'd be the perfect person to cast as a stunted man-child, or as a moron, but I haven't seen him even pull off acting like an adult, much less a highly skilled professional...

Do these people understand what it takes to be a neurologist? Have they ever met one?

That's a perfect characterization and could be applied to the other overrated hack from that circle, Josh Rogen. Seagull is the reason I never bothered watching that David Foster Wallace movie or really any movie he's in.

Yea I was against him in this film right from the start, wow, who in the hell is casting this half-assed buffoon in an "intelligent" film. This guy can barely, and I mean just barely make his way through and hold his own as the putz in Rom/Coms. He should stick to Tv sitcoms if they would have him and the ratings didn't tank.

Indeed, he was the worst actor in this one. He is so bad, going around with his sour face all the time, it hurts.

He should stick with Judd Apatow comedies.
