Time and again, I have heard someone on movie boards say that Professor X can stop time, my guess being because of the scene in the mall where Xavier paralyzes everyone in the food court except the students. Notice that everyone EXCEPT the students was PARALYZED. The point is, as powerful as Professor Xavier is, he cannot control time itself. He is the world's most powerful TELEPATH, and he can paralyze a roomful of people instantly. We get another example of how powerful he is in LOGAN. Nuff said!
