Discuss Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom

You know you're definitely watching a Jurassic Park movie when you got a completely and unnecessarily complicated plot with extremely annoying sidekick and kid characters thrown in there for good measure.

Anyways, these super secret hidden auctions, which manage to collect all the world's biggest terrorists and shady businessmen in to one spot have become something of a cliche in Hollywood movies. I have to wonder what exactly were the buyers of those dinosaurs getting out of that deal? You can't really open your own zoo with them or or cuff it to a lamp post and leave it on your front lawn and call it a pet either. It was rather ridiculous how they were all so excited and giddy about the partly laser controlled indoraptor even though it was obvious they had no real means of controlling it except pointing it in a general direction. Doesn't seem like a good military tool when it goes to point A after you've pointed there and then comes back and eats your whole team before running into the wilderness. Hell, if those terrorists/businessmen wanted to start their own dinosaurs army for terrorism or softball or whatever they could've just bought a blood/DNA sample. No need to get into the logistics of dinosaur trucking.

That's funny, I was kind of thinking the same thing. At the same time; I had to suspend my belief system just to get through that part of the movie to make it easier to watch. I also know without some sort of villain, there could be nothing to fight back for an exciting ending.

It was hilarious that to target the dinosaur you had to point a laser at something. In what situation would a dinosaur be preferable to firing bullets or explosives in that direction!

The all auction subplot is kind of cliche indeed. I honestly prefer to not have this type in JUrassic Park movies.
