Discuss Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom

They're dinosaurs. A not too many of them. Giant dinosaurs. Not little bugs. The military would easily kill them off within weeks. The core of the story is that... oooh man has brought back dinosaurs and now we can't stop them. But we easily could. There are MUCH bigger problems in our world right now than a bunch of giant animals and some predators getting out in the world. We lived out tigers... They're sneaky motherfuckers. What the hell is T-rex gonna do?

Other things that don't work

  • The military could give two shits about having a smart rex as weapon. They already have MUCH more efficient weapons... Not to mention warfare today is different than what it once was. This is not 1944.

  • Serious environmentalists would NOT form a huge movement to protect Frankrenstein creatures from dying out of a natural cause like a volcano eruption.

that's right. float an AC 130 over the island and let loose. Everybody is going home in a bout 15 minutes

So true a handful of Dinosaurs escape and we are expected to believe its a uncontrollable issue the Indoraptor could not even take down 2 unarmed adults and a child and it was designed to be a killing machine. The large ones would be captured or killed within days the smaller ones could become a issue if they reach Florida...

Good points. Also those very same dinosaurs were rather easily captured by a group of mercenaries with tranquilizer guns so what exactly would prevent a more organized and well equipped army from doing the same? Hell, seeing the survival and self preservation instincts of the leader of said mercenary group I'm not entirely sure he wasn't previously a part of the Jackass group/trope with Johhny Knoxville & others and had to find a new job after they disbanded. Too bad, though, he was better suited for those fratboy pranks than leading any sort of mercenary operation. Either way, if that clown managed to capture the dinosaurs it would be a piece of cake for the military to annihilate them.

Speaking of military and the smart indoraptor weapon. First you spend millions training it and feeding it and cleaning after it's droppings and then for it to get to killing you.......point a gun with a laserpointer at said target. Why not just skip the training and feeding and dinosaur dropping collecting and use that same gun with the laser pointer and just pull the trigger since you're already pointing at the target.

Wasn't the point of the auction that the arms dealers and mafia guys and the other evil types bought the DNA codes for the dinos? So they are free to create as many as they want.
