SPOILER of course but Maisee was a clone? That twist really came out of the blue and disappeared without any impact what-so-ever.

I thought that was why she opened the doors, as she felt kinship with the dinos.

Her opening the doors would have made just as much sense without the twist. She could just want to save the dinosaurs.

I think there may be more to come on this in the next film:-

  • They made a point of saying the dinos needed a "mother figure" to bond with.
  • Did the indoraptor brush her hair from the cage?
  • Did it reach out to her across the bed?
  • Was there anything funny about the extreme close up they did on her eye?

Maybe, maybe not, but I think they planted some potential seeds there.

I agree with count! I just saw this today... and I think there's stuff gonna happen! Can't wait.

Hey Marr - What did you think of the film? I really enjoyed it, thought it was probably the best since the original Jurassic Park. Loved the scary mansion setting for the second half.

Also, just wanted to say re the clone thing - not really sure that it was even supposed to be a plot "twist" at all? After all the "grandad" was tightly gripping the photo album with the kid asking if she looked like her mom pretty much the entire film! Not much of a twist...

I loved this movie but I think the first Jurassic World is better.

I had her pegged as a clone the moment she entered the room and he hid the pictures in the book from her.

This was kind of a let down for me. I loved the first one (saw it at a double feature yesterday). This one seemed rush and the story just wasn't compelling.

I thought the clone reveal made sense in the context of the movie as @Damienracer pointed out. I also agree with @The Midi-chlorian Count that this will probably be addressed more in depth in the next movie.

What I didn't like about the end is using that clone reveal as motivation for freeing the dinosaurs that were about to die and letting dangerous predators lose on the world. That dumb decision was necessary just to set up the next sequel. However, if you are going to require a character to do something that stupid, the only explanation needed in that situation is a simple one - she is a young, loves animals, and doesn't want to watch them suffer and die from a poisonous gas right in front of her. As one YouTube reviewer pointed out, this character seems to be the least likely person to free the dinosaurs in that situation. She was just hunted and almost killed by a dinosaur in her own home. Why would she then be the one who sets them free to do the same to other unsuspecting residents in any nearby cities and towns?

I have to say I only saw the latest movie before this one! I liked them both. That new dino was pretty scary in cinema at times grin

WHOA thats deep imagine if you are right and she's like the mother to indoraptor like Mother of Dragons in GOT!

It was a ridiculous twist to go along with a really dumb movie. I thought the writing was the poorest I’ve ever seen from this series. There was no originality and the actors overacted.

Once the villain’s motive was revealed and the dinosaurs were depicted as the victims, I knew that this series has jumped the ship. Eventually, any movie series that spawns more than 4 sequels, becomes just another quick hussle for the studios to exploit the movie for some quick cash. I’m official through with any future Jurassic Park sequels.

I really don't understand why they chose to feature most of the film within that mansion.

The third Jurassic World is gonna be tremendous though.
