Seems strange with the current climate of shoe-horning in minorities where they werent scripted to take a role away from a black person and give it to a white looking mexican. Theyre asking for a boycott. Not that anybody was gonna see this anyway.

Yeah It's fvcked up lol People _try _to defend it cause the actor is Brazilian. I guess they don't know Brazialian isnt a race....they come in all sorts of colors lol.

Race swapping characters is pretty annoying like when Johnny Storm was made black. But I'm not going to lie its nice to see it not being a white character done away with for once.

While they do seem to have chosen an actor who is definitely more light skinned than the character is known to be, the Sunspot of the comics is not black. I believe the description would be Latino.

Huh? Sunspot was always Latino (from Brazil) in the comics, and in the newer comics where he's older is depicted very light-skinned. He was even played by a light-skinned Latino (Adan Canto) in the movie Days of Future Past.
