I saw this movie tonight and I really really liked it. Don't usually watch romantic movies, but I thought this one was really cute.
Many compare it to the "Before"-movies, which I haven't watched, but I must say the director Emily Ting did a great job with mostly outdoor shots of Hong Kong during the night, while the protagonists explore each other's background, hopes and dreams.
I also have to mention that if a movie sticks with me, I usually go to reddit to find the Official Movie Discussion and see what other redditors think, but for this little gem there wasn't any.
So I highly recommend watching it if you can, as it is a little bit short also so you don't have to spend 2 hours on it.
And somebody, please, what did you think happened after the camera cut to dark? I don't want to spoil anything, but I'm desperate to hear other opinions/guesses about the ending!
I think they gave into their attraction (as most people would give into temptation), went up to her apartment, (probably) had sex, but regretted it in cheating on their respective partners.
Yes the "Before" series is fabulous, and highly recommended. At least the first 2 movies that is. I pretend the third one doesn't exist.
A pretty lousy trailer can put you off - but a great movie actually.
I personally don't watch trailers at all. I simply watch movies based on their posters or based on people's recommendations.
I think you just have to give the film a chance and make it through the first couples of scenes, maybe the first 10-20 mins of the film where the dialogue/acting seems a little stilted. The movie takes a while to get into, but if you do, it's a pretty good film.
