I actually was impressed that this was an entertaining movie that kept my interest from beginning to end. It gave me old school Indiana Jones and even Goonies vibes.

I noticed that this movie is really starring Tom Holland and Mark Wahlberg is pretty much a secondary character as Tom is the definite lead of the movie. Tom does all the "heavy lifting" for the film including the bigger acting, fight scenes, stunts, he's truly carrying the movie where as Mark is like just in the background and again a secondary character. Even in the fight scenes and action scenes its all Tom and Mark's barely in any of them barely moving around. I found this to be odd since Mark's usually the biggest lead in all his movies and when it comes to fight scenes and action scenes its always Mark taking up the entire screen but definitely the opposite in this movie?

Also in all the scenes that Tom and Mark are standing side by side it appears Tom is pretty much the same size in terms of height and size. Mark a famous body builder athletic muscle type does not seem all that bigger or taller than Tom in this movie at all?

Also I was wondering how historically accurate the whole backstory is of Magellan and how he hid a bunch of gold and treasures supposedly? Obviously they needed to have some sort of realistic basis to base the movie on so it was not complete BS right?

It seems if there was a ton of hidden gold and treasure somewhere then thousands or even millions of people would have worked together to try to find it by now right? I mean with todays technology and knowledge it would be thousands of people at the least who's team up and give it a serious go right? Not just some random low life petty criminals who randomly come together to successfully nail it on their first try?

SPOILER ALERT!...........

Also with Tom's big bro locked up as its revealed in the ending credits scene, this would imply there will be a sequel with the big bro escaping or them rescuing him right? So would that even be intriguing enough for a sequel? Is the actor who plays the big bro anyone of note????

Tom & Mark are both 5' 8". As for muscle mass, Mark is probably bigger, although Tom did some bulking up for the role (see links below). Also, did you know that this movie is based on a series of video games (see last link below)?

Awesome response buddy. I didn't know Tom and Mark were both 5'8"? I knew Mark was never a tall man but I assumed Tom was still shorter? Thats cool that Tom bulked up for the role, he is doing some pretty impressive parkour moves in the film as well if thats really him? Or with wires at least right? Man I didn't know it was based on a series of video games, that now kinda makes sense as it almost comes across like a video game now that you pointed that out.

Did you actually see the film? I'm wondering what the big deal was with the big bro locked up? Maybe those who played the game know somethings special about him? Or not?

Nope, I've never seen the movie. Not really a fan of the actors, except for Antonio Banderas.

And I am a female.

Yes, that was me.

I always equate buddy with the male of the species, the same with the use of 'guys'. Although I am sometimes guilty of using the term guys when referring to a group of people, I try not to use it very often.
