If he was concerned about overpopulation, killing half the population of the universe is a dumb idea. He has to kill like 99%! Think about it. If you have an antibiotic that kills half of a bacteria at the first dose and no more antibiotic after that, that bacteria comes back almost full strength in a couple of generations. Same with the universe. Thanos should have killed a lot more.
Anyways, I liked the movie because of its depressing ending! It’s the Empire Strikes Back of the Marvel films. I just hope they don’t ruin it in the next film.

If he killed 99% the remain 1% wouldn't be able to keep the world going as it is now. With half the population gone you still have enough people to make society work without making drastic changes. And the surviving half would hopefully realize that they need to keep the population down.

Seems like the ideal idol for the current culture of internet smart, but life idiot youtuber generation... The psycho villian as hero; playing god in a second rate version of Noah... Imitation without the meaning...
All of this to be erased and circumvented by the following episode...
