Discuss Jigsaw

Anyone else looking forward to this? I'm hoping it's better than Saw 3D and offers a fresh take on the franchise with new characters and a new storyline within the saw universe.

I was pretty burnt out after part III which is where it should have ended in my view. The following chapters were just more of the same & mostly forgettable, and 3D felt like a rush job ending on a very unspectacular note. I suppose with a fresh start it may slightly peak my interest but even then I don't see where else they can go while not straying far from the formula that made the series work at the time.

For me, the first seven saw films worked in a way similar to that of a TV series. I never really got tired of it but I would like a new direction.

I'm not a fan of this genre, but I would admit I enjoyed all the sequels. I know they weren't great but I just enjoyed the hell out of them for what they were.

I would love a sequel or new take on the series. Maybe a Jigsaw imitator. Hell I would love to see Dr. gordon as the lead. Carey Elwes has never hit the top and building a new franchise around him mite be a good idea. He isn't Jigsaw so his approach mite be a new way of doing this series.

Big fan of the Saw movies! Just wanted to get anyone's take on how the story will continue..? I think they might look at this like a reboot with a brand new set of characters but with maybe a couple flashback to jigsaw etc. Might be the only direction they cant do as I read an article saying Leigh Whannel and Cary Elwes are not confirmed for this film.

Not into blood and gore or dumb slasher movies. But I totally enjoyed all the Saw movies, each one had a story, & added another piece to the jigsaw. One boxset I have plays the theme music when you press it.

According to wiki " It is the eighth installment in the Saw franchise, picking up over a decade after the death of the Jigsaw killer during the investigation of a new string of murders that fit his modus operandi" ?? staring Tobin Bell as Jigsaw ?? Ticks all the right boxes for me.

Very excited. Hope they don't screw it up like saw 3d. More Hoffman less Dr. Gordon.

It was the most watchable one since Saw 3 but still nothing special. I am surprised they have been able to milk this series for 8 movies so far. I am sure there will be a part 9 with the new Jigsaw since this made enough money to warrant a sequel.

I only liked it a bit better than Saw 3D. The first six were better.

1 2 6 3 5 4 Jig 3D

I believe lionsgate have started discussing the idea of a ninth film. Expected considering jigsaw brought in over ten times it's budget at the box office.
