An interesting route to take. It seems they were going for forbidden love in a takes from the crypt sort of way. Still I wonder if Craig really considered the consequences of what he did? Julie would become a zombie who would rot and smell. Turning others into zombies and never have a normal life. What would he do once she went savage?

I think Curt realized that and knew the only way it could end is if he joined her or had to put her down and live without her.
