I love Muriel’s Wedding with its perfect balance of feelgood comedy and darkness (suicide, cancer, infidelity, loveless marriage... not themes one finds in the average light comedy!). Toni Collete, Rachel Griffiths, Bill Hunter and Jeanie Drynan are all brilliant in this film and the music is perfect. Such a treat of a movie, one of the most purely enjoyable of the ‘90s.
