Discuss The Ghost and Mrs. Muir

I think most people know this story. Gene Tierney was as lovely as ever. Rex Harrison played the perfect rugged Sea Captain ghost.

A true gem of a movie...

Oh, now I'm going to have to watch this again. I wish they still made movies as good as this.

When I was a kid, it was made into a TV series that I couldn't get enough of. I didn't even know it was a movie until many years afterward. I fell head over heels in love with both Hope Lange and Edward Mulhare. I wanted to be her, and I wanted to marry him.

A gem is almost too poor a word to put onto this film. What a remarkable experience it was to watch. Gene Tierney was absolutely stunning and played so well. Harrison also did a fantastic job. I loved the ending so much. Perhaps I would've liked Anna to be a bit more involved as a little girl to get a bit of a deeper connection to her character, but it is only a little remark. I wish I'd watched this earlier, as I've simply glanced past it in my library for some time. I think I like it more than "Laura", but I am not entirely sure. Ahhh what a picture!! :) :)
