Discuss Cop Land

Sly shows again how he his massively under rated as an actor and not just an action star - I really think he held his own against Keitel, DeNiro and Liotta in every scene he had, but that scene with Sciorra where she (Liz) asks Sly (Freddy) how come he never got married and he replies "All the best girls are taken..." This was up there with any Oscar winning performance.

This movie is so underrated its almost criminal. Stallone says this movie derailed his career. I think its one of his best. Not sure why so many people didn't like this movie

I'll be honest, I don't think I've ever met anyone who didn't like it.

I'd say it was more the shit-ton of straight to video flipflops he made after this that derailed his career. Get Carter, etc.

Although he's great in Copland, the one bit of Stallone acting that really stood out for me was in Creed. (Spoiler Warning) The bit where he receives that bad news. His reaction, what he did with his eyes. It surprised me at what a shockingly good, subtle, natural actor he could be after all these years.

copland wasnt bad but not my prefered style of movie. Rocky i thought was his best work

Fair enough, although my original point was his acting - not the type of movie - but only a fool would deny Rocky being amongst his top works overall...!
