Discuss The Substitute

So we have a group of out of work Mercs looking for employment. Leader Shale does not want anything drug related so when his girlfriend Jane is knee capped on the orders of her pupil gang leader - Shale gets some qualifications recorded and substitutes for her at her school. Her class is mainly non white - and IF this scenario is anywhere near true then America is doomed - a black teacher on Judge Judy said the same thing on a recently screened episode - Anyway - he soon whips them into shape but the head of the school Ernie Hudson is running drugs through the school in collusion with the gang leader - Marc Antony. Events follow a predictable course - but the amount of times that Shale gets beaten by the baddies makes you wonder at his efficacy as a mercenary. I don't understand why the baddies are not killed and turn up later to fight again - that is just stupid - also it is amusing how when the drugs are blown up and there is a veritable snow storm in an enclosed space nobody dies of a massive overdose. These mercs are so willing to be killed for what? There was no money involved and mercs are just that - mercenaries - they work for cold hard cash. Three of them are killed - so much for being a great fighting unit - and Shale doesn't seem too bothered. I don't rate Tom Berenger as an action hero - he isn't the type.
