Discuss Open Your Eyes

Would you have done the same as Cesar and made the choice to wake up and live in a future that's unknown without those you loved? Or would you've decided to keep on living in a dream world? Honestly, I probably would've made the decision to keep on dreaming, because I don't think I could handle living all alone in an unfamiliar world that I might not understand. The people waking up must need a lot of therapy. But then again, I don't think I would ever have chosen to live in a dream world in the first place. But it's really difficult to say.

I think I would had lived in the dream world.

Personally, I would want to wake up...

I've always wanted to live in the real world, even as a child I felt that I wanted to grow up quicker and enter the adult world instead of living in the make-believe of santa, fairytales and such... It's fine to dream and have fantasies, but the draw of the real world is just too compelling to me...

I love this movie... Even more so now than when it first came out... I feel it is more relevant now... People around me seem to clearly making the choice to live in a dream world, stuck in their phones and social media organised world or sports-watching/video-games obsession... The alarming thing is that they're not even trading their real life for an eternal perfect dream like in the movie... instead, they're trading it for social media sound-bites and living vicariously through footballers/CGI...

Such a powerful movie... It's a great movie to discuss with friends...
