Discuss Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker

Things that make you go hmmmm for some reason the fan score has not changed from 86% no matter how many people vote, something doesnt seem quite right here.

I think the audience score is fairly correct. Most people seem to love the movie.

I absolutely loved this movie.

Going to call bullshit that this is the true audience score have never seen a score on there to stay stagnant at the same score for weeks after launch

But it's not bullshit at all that most people loved or at least liked the movie.

No you dont seem to understand what he is saying. The score on RT hasnt changed...at all since release. That dosent happen. Probably because you cant give it a lower score than 3, have to be in the US, and have to buy your ticket thru fandango. RT is a broken system. Metacritic is a much better representation IMO.

No, I do understand pretty well what he was saying. It's awkward indeed but it truly illustrates what most ppeople think about the movie.

And Metacritic concerning movies is way worse than RottenTomatoes. A lot of great movies have laughable ratings there.

So you honestly think most people think this deserves an 86% lmao

So you honestly think most people didn't like this movie? LMAO!

Yeah I dont think most people think SW is a 86% considering all the hate its getting online. RT is more broken than Meta and thats a fact. But honestly it dosent really matter, only idiots go/not go to a film based on scores.

Metacritic is way worse than Rottentomatoes and this is a fact.

And most people liked this movie. This is a fact as well.

They probably got a six months free subscription to Disney+ with their tickets. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Disney+. I need to watch The Mandalorian!

:grinning:

ummm thats really a no brainer haha

@Harry Skywalker What does 86% at Rotten Tomatoes even mean when it's found out to have been rigged? This was extensively discussed in this forum.

So, unfortunately, we'll never know what most ppl think of this movie. You seemed to jump the shark by trying to speak on the behalf of many ppl, which is neither here nor there.

A better metric is its box office as it's mostly unfalseable. And yet, the finale of one of the longest & highest grossing series struggled to crack $1B. Plus, adjusted for inflation, this is easily below the average of the three trilogies. What more indefensible proof do you need for its mediocrity / letdown?

Dont try to use your logic and numbers on him, he wont get it. Rise also made the lowest domestic and world wide of all the SW films, except Solo. Also lets not forget Disney only gets about half the profits, so at the end of the day the movie probably only made them around 200-300 million. Notice the Production Budget has never been released, wonder why.

@Harry Skywalker, you said that most people you know like it, well most people I know disliked it or gave it a pass, so I think our "proof" negates each others. You also missed the entire point of this thread, take a step back and realise that your fanboying is obscuring the real issue being discussed here

You are incorrect.

The movie is liked or loved by the vast majority. And the movie struggling to get 1 Billion (which is already pretty good) has a lot to do with the second movie which ruined the series to a lot of people.

This movie is awesome.

We don't need to try tom use logic with you, that's true.

The haters are just a minority. That's the only logic in here.
