The Svengoolie weekly Blog for this film at https://svengoolie.com generated 1,100 posts during the east coast USA run of the film and an additional 750 posts during the west coast airing. Many post jokes, images, trivia, and analysis of the film being aired.

Next week's show is the sequel to this film.

Thanks for doing these. It's airing on MeTV, right? I have that channel. Dr. Phibes is a great horror flick, full of black humor (which I love).

I didn't read all 2,800+ comments but most of the first page HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH THE MOVIE!

But I loved Dr. Phibes! And the distributor of the films, American International Pictures, made/distributed what I called perfect 'drive-in' movies, from the late 50s through the 70s!

The Svengoolie Show is on MeTV, based in Chicago, and available on cable and over the air in many places. So the beginning comments on the Saturday thread are about what is on in the morning and daytime. Cartoon shows, then Maverick and other western series. When an actress or actor on the westerns became well known later, someone often comments on their guest appearance. The Three Stooges shorts don't get many comments.

The people posting about the number of Svengoolie posts will usually note when the show begins, so they can subtract all these early posts from the night's count. Better quality movies get more posts. The low quality films will get a lot more jokes about them.

Yes, I know about the show (the guy who plays Svengoolie is an ass!) but most of the comments had nothing to with any of the day's programming. Just a bunch of people 'talking' just to hear themselves 'talk'?
