Derek clearly led Lisa on... the teasing, giving her hope (wishes he was single, or afraid of losing his job), playing hard to get... toying with her, hot and cold... the Christmas party flirtations...

Yeah, she became obsessed with him, but he clearly did lead her on... Was not an innocent party...

Also, this movie should have sought an R rating... they should have done it properly instead of pussyfooting around
