Just giving the name this film was more commonly known as-- when I first became aware of this movie and watched it on HBO in the 1980s, it was known as "Brady's Escape".

I watched it numerous times back then, and recall that the opening sequences when Brady's (played by John Savage) bomber was taking heavy damage from flak over Hungary and he and his crew were preparing to bail out were quite harrowing. There was a very sad ending to the movie, as well. I haven't seen it in decades; apparently, at present, it is only available on VHS.

A shame; it deserves a decent DVD/Blu-Ray treatment.
