Great movie that starts out uplifting yet is subtly heartbreaking by the end. I'm not surprised Nick Robinson appears to be doing so well lately. He definitely pulled at my heartstrings.

The fake beards sort of ruins the believablity of the whole thing. White 15 year olds can't grow beards like that.

I agree, the beards were cheesy.

I thought it was a cute, heartwarming flick.

Did anyone else wish the film had focused a little more on the boys actually building the house? I felt like it was glossed over a little too quickly. It seemed unrealistic that they would have been able to build that big of a house with a loft in such a short period.

try to watch sleeping giant. this feel like realistic king of summers for me. less slomo, less quirky, ordinary people
