Every time I watch this movie I feel so, so sorry for that poor little girl. She may have been a very competent actor, but it seems like a very tough and demanding role for a child, not to mention emotionally scarring. I've never understood why people find this movie funny or campy. What's funny about a child being emotionally and physically abused? (This is coming from a person who enjoys dark humour usually.)
Sad that all she got for enduring this role was a Razzie nomination and obscurity. I think she was on an episode of Roseanne once? Poor girl.

She was on Roseanne for 3 or 4 episodes because I have that season on DVD. Like many characters on Roseanne, her and her family simply disappeared by the next season with no explanation given. They did that with the waitress, Bonnie, too (I think in season three).
Mommie Dearest is on now on Fox. I guess interest because of the series 'Feud.'
