The gypsy showed more concern for Larry than her son

I guess she didn't have the heart to put him down and was trying to control him through the confines of the gypsy camp.

Still she always trying to help Larry find his cure and was instrumental in his suffering ending.

I guess she felt guilty and responsible since Larry became a werewolf because of her son.
