Director's Cut vs. Theater Version

Is the director's cut that much different than the theatrical version? Is it enough to really tell the difference in the movie?

It's a completely different film in my opinion, much like the Ultimate Edition of Batman v Superman completely changes the film, the Director's Cut of Watchmen does the same and the Ultimate Cut of Watchmen goes even further and includes animated segments of a story within the story. I firmly believe Snyder is mostly getting bad reviews because of the gutted versions of his films often released in the cinema (the two I mentioned plus Sucker Punch). Let the man follow through with his creative vision and you get an awesome audiovisual experience out of it.
