Discuss Street Fighter

I don't know how many careers this movie ruined, but the most obvious one seems to be that of director/writer Steven E. de Souza's. The guy didn't have any major directing experience before making this turd, and as you can probably guess, very little directing work after it. Not sure why they thought it was a good idea let a big production like this in the hands of what would seem to be a novice. Sure he had writing experience, but that also did not seem to help the movie much.

Anyways.....an all around crappy movie through and through. You got a whole squad of actors who can neither act nor fight. The only one who seems to have any semblance of fighting prowess is Jean Claude Van Damme who very convincingly plays an all american colonel named guile with the thickest and most obvious belgian/french accent you will probably see in movies. The actors themselves look nothing like their videogame counterparts and the fighting scenes are just embarrassing to watch.

Thing is, though, I do believe that screenshot is taken from stuff she is doing for "Street fighter the movie Arcade" (the game). It was a pretty crappy attempt to copy the Mortal kombat formula. She doesn't wear that outfit in the movie. Although I must admit K. Minogue was a pretty decent fit for the role otherwise. She doesn't really have many lines or much to do in the movie in the end, though.
