A Night at the Opera
1935- There are many great Marx gems, but for me...this was the one to watch.
I also happened to like Kitty and Allan together.
"Alone" stayed with me.

Copacabana
1947- An odd bit of something here. Solo Groucho outing doing the old switcheroo with Carmen Miranda. Not bad.

The Computer Wore Tennis Shoes
1969- One of those silly Kurt Russell late 60s-early 70s movies he did for Disney. Goofy premise but at least somewhat entertaining (fleeting though it may be.). The Dean Higgins character (Joe Flynn) was a fun grouch, and at least Cesar Romero wasn't wearing clown makeup over his trademark moustache.
Hmmm. Right.
Well, to sum up, this is likely the best entry of the Dexter Riley trilogy.
Not saying much there-

Zardoz
1974- A 'gift' from John Boorman (Yeah the uh..famed director of Excalibur)that most can't or will ever even want to understand. I barely do, but am pleased and greatly amused by it.
Something else: There's an unconventional beauty in the madness of this film. I very much believe in the value of this concept-

Madhouse
1974- It's about as ridiculous a horror picture as the mid 70's would allow, but for all its silly murders and "shock" scenes with screams and bright red blood, the performance of Vincent Price is my favorite of all in this type of camp feature. Price's turns as Paul Toombes and Dr. Death amused me more than Dr. Phibes, and the twist transformation ending was good strange fun. Also enjoyed his jaunty rendition of "When Day Is Done" at the close.

Phantom of the Paradise
1974- Such gorgeous camp...
Movie mishmash of many ideas has everything you could want in a 70s popperyrockeroperetta; particularly if you're looking for beauty in the bizarre. Faustian phantom of a Dorian Grey.
And that Paul Williams score.... Score is right. Stuck in my mindscape for ages.
This movie is..."Tasty, Winslow. Tasty."
"Trust me."

The Strongest Man in the World
1975- Ready for another round of Dexter Riley and the Medfield College gang? Well, this time we have..
Krinkle Krunch vitamin cereal.
Got that?
92 minutes of 'pure Disney magic'.
Good luck-
