8/10 | Most fun piece of fiction I've seen in a good while. It's very rare for me to be watching or reading something and for it to put the biggest, dumbest smile on my face, but this movie had that happen! Rewatch value is the best!

Hostel: Part II
6/10 | Any fear I had going into this was wiped away, I expected a cash grab, but got a great expansion on the story and world of the first movie, with its own style, its own good story continuing from the first, and so on! In some regards, I guess this was better than the first, but I still enjoyed the first one a lot more, as it had me gripped further than this, the tension of the first wasn’t matched. Either way, perfect sequel!

5/10 | Fuckin’ loved it! The tension is extreme, the payoffs are satisfying enough to make me cheer, the acting is really good, the characters, particularly the third guy, are all good. Of all the poor taste movies I’ve seen, this one might be my favourite!

7/10 | My favourite Australian movie. Very intriguing story that keeps you on the edge of your seat, pretty good pacing and likable characters, both its protagonist and its Yoshikage Kira-esque antagonist! If you enjoy Diamond is Unbreakable, you'll enjoy this, and vica versa.

8/10 | Loved this movie. The way it was shot was way better than most films of this nature, the characters were a joy to watch and so many scenes were really well done. Greatly written, crazy ending and my favourite credit sequence ever.

The Divide
7/10 | Amazing the first time round, really emotionally engaging, great moments throughout, Mickey is a great character as well as Eva. Lots of good stuff to say about this movie, though flaws are here too. The end "reveal" drags on too long, killing the effectiveness of the scene, the acting starts off lackluster and gets better as the movie goes on, etc..

The Handmaiden
8 or 9/10 | Cried for two reasons, once because I was sad with what happened in the story, again when it ended because of how brilliant it was. The story was amazingly well written, I loved the characters, and the film was incredibly well made in every department. Rare to see films this fantastic!
