In breve, Rome riesce a decodificare il messaggio, e scopre che è una richiesta di soccorso e di un allarme, che avverte di non aprire la bio-capsula, all'interno della quale giace in animazione sospesa uno dei due alieni precipitati sulla Terra (l'altro è caduto a Roswell). Ma è troppo tardi: l'involucro è stato aperto, l'extraterrestre si è risvegliato e l'agente patogeno letale di cui è portatore comincia a mietere vittime tra il personale.
