Video Mods was a television series that aired on MTV2. This show turned video game characters into musicians. It was created by Tony Shiff of Big Bear Entertainment in 2003. A pilot aired in Dec 2003, having been underwritten by Electronic Arts. It was a form of branded entertainment, as the pilot featured characters from their games SSX3, Sims, and Need for Speed.
In 2004 MTV2 Head of Programming Alex Coletti commissioned four new episodes which aired that Fall. The pilot and all 2004 episodes were produced and directed by Shiff, with Animation Director Kris Renkewitz. In 2005, additional episodes were animated by IBC Digital.
Although fans wished to see the videos on DVD, MTV never cleared the music rights for any purposes beyond their television airings. Many of the videos however, are available to see on YouTube.

The programme was commissioned by Yorkshire Television and produced by Capricorn Programmes and also aired on GBC TV in Gibraltar. It was broadcast overseas on Dutch, Brazilian, Mexican television, the channel 2M TV in Morocco and the 4 channel in Russia, with local voice-overs.

Blastazoid was a video game themed MTV show starring CKY Crew members Brandon DiCamillo, Rake Yohn and Joe Frantz. The show featured pranks and set-ups reminiscent of predecessor Bam Margera, and showcased user-created gaming footage found on the internet.
Only two episodes of the show were aired. It is unclear how many were originally planned or actually filmed. The show was eventually cancelled because of a dispute between MTV and the makers of the show.
The show eventually evolved into a podcast which is run by more or less the same crew, Art Webb 1986, Rake Yohn and Brandon DiCamillo to name a few. The podcast is called "GameCasa", they also have a website and a YouTube channel, where they make videos/reviews related to video games in a way reminiscent of Blastazoid.
When Games Attack was a British television show, that originally aired on Bravo from 2004 to 2005. The show was created and presented by Dominik Diamond in conjunction with Jonny Ffinch with whom he had previously worked on GamesMaster. Its main focus was video games.
