Photon batteries are an energy source created to save the resource-depleted Earth. Bellri Zenam, Aida Surugan, and their comrades have left the Earth Sphere to head for the source of these energy devices that cannot be manufactured on Earth. Now the Megafauna finally reaches its destination, the Venus Globe in the inner solar system. After battling the G-IT Corps, which plans to return to Earth in a Reconguista operation, Aida has an opportunity to meet with President La Gu of the Hermes Foundation, the organization that controls the production and supply of the photon batteries.

Ai studied abroad until, after being expelled for quarrelling, his father forces him to return to Thailand where he attends classes at the university where he teaches. There, Ai meets Chen Nhai, his new Harley Davidson-riding classmate who has an obsession with a yellow duck keychain. Ai falls in love at first sight and a whirlwind romance ensues. Director's cut release of the war/mecha anime series "FLAG" features famous scenes from the series edited together into a cohesive, realistic story about war. Camerawoman Shirasu Saeko's photo of residents of a war-torn Asian country struggling to raise the flag of the UN became the symbol for the movement of peace across the land. However, on the eve of a truce, the actual flag captured in the photo is stolen and war once again threatens to plague the land. To return the flag and establish peace in the land, the UN sends a lone mechanical army called the SDC (pronounced as Seedac—Special Development Command).

Shikidouji, the illustrator of Shoji Gatoh's Full Metal Panic! light novel series, revealed that production has been green-lit on a "director's cut" version of the first Full Metal Panic!! television anime series from 2002.
