Pětadvacetiletý Turo trčí v zapadlé vesnici na severu Finska. Jediný světlý bod v jeho životě představuje amatérská metalová kapela Impaled Rektum, v níž zastává post zpěváka. On a jeho kamarádi už 12 let zkouší a zatím neodehráli ani jeden koncert. Pak je ale překvapí nečekaná návštěva z Norska – pořadatel Northern Damnation, jednoho z nejbrutálnějších metalových festivalů. Chlapci si uvědomují, že je to buď teď, nebo nikdy. Impaled Rektum, kteří se po zpackaném zahřívacím koncertu rozpadnou, se dávají znovu dohromady. Ukradnou dodávku, mrtvolu a rakev z místního hřbitova, nového bubeníka z léčebny pro duševně choré a utečou do Norska...

Padesátá léta se ve východní Evropě nesla ve všech zemích v podobném duchu: stalinské čistky se nevyhnuly nikomu, kdo smýšlel jinak, než vedení v Moskvě. Sportovní šermíř Endel Nelis tajně prchá z Leningradu do estonské vesničky Haapsalu, aby se zde ukryl v místní škole jako učitel tělocviku. Přes všechnu nepřízeň ředitele školy si děti prosadí, aby je Endel učil šerm. Téměř čtvrtmiliardový národ byl ale patrně nejtěžší zkoušce vystaven v polovině šedesátých let, a vyvraždění milionu lidí neměla na svědomí žádná cizí vojska, ale domácí armáda za vydatné pomoci „uvědomělých" civilistů. Stačilo zvolit dostatečně silná propagandistická hesla a zrůdná mašinérie se rozjela naplno.

Innocence tells the story of children who resisted to be enlisted but capitulated. Their stories were never told as they died during their service. Through a narration based on their haunting diaries, the film depicts their inner turmoil. It interweaves first-hand military images, key moments from childhood until enlistment and home videos of the deceased soldiers whose stories are silenced and seen as a national threat.

Marja tries to make ends meet by taking night shifts in a newspaper delivery service, apparently mostly carried out by foreigners. During the day, she sleeps and strives to raise her little daughter as best as she can. As a single parent and lacking a solid income, life is a constant struggle. Things are about to go from bad to worse when she meets her ex-boyfriend whose obsessive demeanour about whether he is the father of Marja´s child will drive her to the edge of sanity.

Little Wing tells the story of 12-year-old Varpu, who's quickly growing to adulthood, and about her mother, who doesn't want to grow up. Varpu lives with her mother and has never met her father. One night Varpu has enough of her riding buddies and her mother. She steals a car and drives up north in search of her father, of whom she only knows the name. But her father is not exactly what she had expected. Meeting him trigger something in Varpu and mother's life, making them realize their role in each other's lives, and in the world.

V malém městečku v jižním Finsku se skupina středoškoláků připravuje na závěrečné zkoušky. Jedním z nich je i Juri, který propadl počítačovým hrám. Jeho závislost je tak silná, že ho vlastní matka téměř nevidí a přítelkyně jej chce opustit. Juri se rozhodne své hry zničit a přestat s hraním. Kontaktuje jej ale starý známý z počítačového virtuálního světa, používající přezdívku Mordred, a chce se s Jurim se setkat. Ukáže se, že Mordred se jmenuje Niki a s Jurim jsou si až překvapivě podobní. Niki je však v nesnázích. Juri si všimne webové adresy vytetované na jeho paži a po zadání do vyhledávače na ni klikne. Ocitne se v počítačové hře, kterou začne hrát pod jménem Krysí král. Niki slíbí Jurimu, že mu jako přítel pomůže tuto nebezpečnou hru dokončit. Série událostí, které však následují, vedou až k momentům, kdy jde Jurimu o holý život.

The child, Tsamo, is baptized and Simon starts to teach her European manners. Tsamo thinks she’s married to Simon and acts accordingly, but when Simon marries a lady of his own age and class, she gets confused. Simon is forced to send the girl away and the battle over Tsamo’s identity takes complicated turns.
