Najaar 1941, La Rochelle aan de Franse kust: 50 Duitse militairen drinken zich zat en maken plezier in een Franse nachtclub. Voor hen kan dit de laatste keer zijn, aangezien ze de volgende morgen aan boord van een onderzeeër zullen gaan, om zo veel mogelijk vijandelijke schepen tot zinken te brengen.

Journalist Robert Krohn ontmoet Veronika Voss, een labiele filmster uit vervlogen tijden. Tussen hen ontstaat een merkwaardige relatie, waarbij Robert gedreven wordt door journalistieke interesse en medelijden. Hij ontdekt dat Veronika aan de morfine verslaafd is.

Het verhaal gaat over de jongen Krabat. Hij komt op een molen bij het Koselmoeras, waar hij gaat werken als leerjongen. De molen blijkt een school voor zwarte kunst te zijn. De molenaar is Meester in de zwarte kunst.

Reverend Huie Rogers is a preacher at the Bible Way Church of Our Lord Jesus Christ in Brooklyn. He is the topic of this short film, during which launches into an epic call-and-response denunciation of human hubris, greed, corruption and failure. The use of lengthy shots present it less like a sermon and more a performance, and induce an almost trance-like state.

The year is 1997, and World Peace seems to have come, with most classic weapons of mass destruction having been abandoned. However, orbiting the Earth there is the European/American space station FLORIDA ARKLAB, capable of controlling the weather at any location on the planet underneath. A civil project by nature, it might be abused as an offensive weapon, since it could deliver devastation to any potential adversary simply by creating natural disasters such as storms and floods. No wonder the space station soon becomes the central point in rising political tensions between East and West, next stop World War 3 (as indicated by the tagline "The end of our future has already begun"). We follow the main protagonist Billy Hayes, an astronaut aboard the station, as he wades through a plot of secrecy and sabotage trying to tell friend from foe in the process.

In the Bavarian village of Schladerbach, the kobold Hatschipuh and his comrades live, of whose existence only Grandpa Reiter is aware. When the building constructor Lederer builds himself a new mansion, the subterranean settlement of the kobolds gets destroyed, and Grandpa Reiter sees himself forced to move them into his barn. But this abode as well is soon threatened: Since the farm is no longer profitable, Father Reiter plans to sell it…

Ferdinand Weitel, a forklift driver, is desperate: Insurance agent Arno von Mehling, a true sales talent, has had contracts signed in record amounts. Now Weitel is wandering through the corridors of the insurance company trying to save what can still be saved - on Shrove Tuesday of all days. The department for customer service and complaints is in a colorful mood and has no ear for Weitel's worries. The writer Charmain Colson entertains a circle of old friends. One day, when the group receive an anonymous message saying Memento Mori/Remember you must die, they all panic in fear and angst.

Aguirre, a Spanish father, left his family to work as a sewer worker in Germany. His son joined and he does hire. One day, the boy dies in an accident as well as German sewer worker who tries to save him. Aguirre tries to reach out to his widow and children who turn away. He understands that it is because he is a foreign worker and they reproach him as a foreigner, to be the cause of death of the German sewage worker. The universe Aguirre then collapses.

The documentary follows Gene Scott, famous televangelist involved with constant fights against FCC, who tried to shut down his TV show during the 1970s and '80s, and even argues with his viewers, complaining about their lack of support by not sending enough money to keep going with the show.
