18 year old Stefania is brought to a juvenile reformatory for young prostitutes. The institution is actually a prison, and one of the worst and most squalid of its kind. It's a real hell. Two dozens of ragged girls are crammed into a dormitory, locked by a thick iron door, two in each bed. Meals and work is carried out in other sections of the building, separated by iron bars. A young doctor shall investigate the newcomer. When they meet, they immediately recognize each other. It is Giorgos, the doctor that treated Stefania's mother a couple of years ago, and then had a little flirt with Stefania. He has been thinking of her ever since. He immediately falls in love with her, and wants to help her. Stefania is thinking about any possibility to get out from the prison. She flirts with the ugly yard guard Armandos, and with the truck driver coming with foodstuff, but in vain...

The idea of the launching becomes Achileas' obsession and along with his friends they collect money, in order to purchase a TV set. However, soon, the dilemma becomes imperative. Will they buy a television or "visit" all together Uranya in order to be taught the secrets of love?

Aris, Nikos Kourkoulos, is released from prison after three years, and he turns up at Troumpa, a slum area in Piraeus. His purpose is not to settle his own accounts but to find out if Lola (Tzeni Karezi), a young woman who works at Stelios’ cabaret, was among the ones who betrayed him. Aris loves and cares about Lola and wants to get her out of there, but Stelios, who is also in love with her, assigns a thug to kill Aris.

She returns to Greece, and during the train ride she recalls those past events. Before the beginning of the Greek-Italian war, she met Orestis . With the German invasion, Orestis, who was an officer in the Greek army, left for the Middle East. She followed him and accompanied him back to occupied Greece on a mission. She was arrested, interrogated and tortured and was finally sentenced to execution.

Stelios Kondogiorgis (Dinos Iliopoulos) and Thomas Makrykostas (Costas Hajihristos) are two quiet men that come from the same Peloponnese village yet do not know each other. Their families however are involved in a bloody feud that started 80 years ago. Stelios and Thomas are the last male members from each family. After the last murders in the village where a member of each family died, Stelios' uncle (Pantelis Zervos) urges him to find and kill Thomas for revenge lest he finds him and kills him first. At the same time Thomas is visited by his aunt (Joly Garbi) who asks of him the same and provides him with weapons. Despite everything, neither Stelios nor Thomas are interested in murdering one another and they are both terrified from the idea that a stranger is looking for them in order to kill them. So, they decide to leave their respective jobs and hide at some remote hotel. Luck brings them together without them knowing of each other's identity as they share a room.

A tavern in Piraeus, Kyr Giorgis Adhesive (Dionysis Papagiannopoulos) has sent his son John in Europe, where he turns educated. He marries a woman of high society, the Riris Kalantzi, elected MP. It is absorbed rapidly from the social environment of the mother-in which is told that his father is owner. Kyr Giorgis should eventually appear in the salons. Man folk as they have to go through special training to suit the new environment. Very quickly, however, the student becomes a teacher of high society and gives lessons of honesty and fairness in the pretentious and sometimes scammers bourgeois, whose grandparents were sailing folk jobber.

Angelos Kreouzis (Nikos Kourkoulos) survives a shipwreck and reveals to the committee in charge that the disaster was not an accident, but the consequence of the neglect of the ship by those responsible.

While at the beach, Eva (Zoe Laskari) and Maria (Hloi Liaskou) will meet Kleopas (Costas Voutsas) and Giorgos (Vagelis Voulgaridis) with whom they will start dating. But Rena (Rena Vlahopoulou) has a secret relationship with Thodoros (Giannis Vogiatzis) for 10 years.
