I'm not sure how I missed this one. It's packed with a lot of key information about permanent and recurring characters. The episode introduces LT Gilmore, who served in the OSS with Stu Bailey, during World War II. Kookie was an army veteran, a corporal in a mortar platoon.

SPOILERS!
Not to mention a pretty cool, extended gun fight scene. It was kinda neat too, how the three separate groups (police, gangsters, and PI's) converged independently on the kidnappers' cabin, then "just happened" to bump into each other, all with different outcomes in mind
