Discuss Star Trek: The Next Generation

If nothing else/before, in DS9 it was established that killing your own clone is still murder. And Riker didn't just kill his own clone, he killed Dr Pulaski's too! So, string him up!

And then later, Dr Pulaski says that each "Bringloidi" woman would need to have at least 3 children by 3 different men. But the "Mariposans" only HAVE three men, really! And only two women! They're all clones!

Meanwhile, over on Planet Of The Apes (original movie), they were apparently planning/expecting to populate a new world starting with just FOUR men and ONE woman.

I think the Bringloidi moved to more fertile Romulan grounds which is why Picard has an Irish Romulan maid. laughing

The Mariposans may have only had 3 males among them but the Bringloidi had more than that. Repopulating the planet was a group effort, after all.

It would take some figuring, but the Mariposans only had 2 genetic women, no matter how many copies of them there were. Not sure how that works out either.

Hasn't anybody told you about the birds and the bees ? 😆

But they needed to get genetic diversity, not just numbers.
