Refresh my memory please, What happened to the guy that was working with Pena at the end of last season? That guy isn't in this season.

I don't remember anything really happening to him (unless someone else can remind me.) In real life, Steve Murphy left the DEA after they captured Escobar so I think they're primarily just keeping the story true to history.
