Discuss The Blacklist

in S6E18 Red forgives Dembe for his betrayal. But Dembe is not the forgiving type and leaves. For good?

Red: "But I realize, you don't need my forgiveness, ever. Because when it comes to "this", you can do no wrong."
Dembe: "I appreciate that, Raymond, but I can't forgive you."
Red: "I guess I don't understand."
Dembe: "No, I suppose you don't."
Red: "Where are you going?"
Dembe: "I've followed your path long enough. It's time I follow my own."

How will Red survive without Dembe?

SPOILERS

Looks like he's back. I suppose it will be him and Liz who'll be the ones leading the search for Red which, of course, will lead to Liz eventually encountering or at least finding out that Katerina is still alive.

I knew Dembe would come back. He is just too good a character to write out for long. Who doesn't like Dembe?

And Katarina; since we learned that she left her clothes at the ocean's edge and they considered that evidence of her suicide I suspected she was still alive somewhere. It seems that Red believed she had died since he seems so surprised to hear she had been found alive.

So the big question is: why did Katarina drug him and abduct him? There was a van waiting at the ready which stopped and snatched him. Does Katarina keep a team standing by all the time? More likely she somehow was tipped someone was looking for her and was prepared.

Yeah, a search will ensue for Red. He no longer has that DARPA chip in his neck, so they cannot find him that way. Liz and Dembe will surely be looking, and the whole team I guess.

I have been waiting for Katarina to resurface, and for the eventual reunion with 'Masha' i.e. Lizzie.

(Side note: I was glad to see Aram finally firing his pistol and taking out one of the rouge secret service agents. In the past the writers made him so much a pacifist that he refused to take the life of a terrorist. They just made him far too wimpy to be an FBI agent. Glad to see they corrected that.)
